Legislation from 1940 - 1949

The Asiatic Land and Trading (Transvaal) Act of 1940
It extends the 1939 law for two years but makes some concessions based on the Feetham Commission report, providing some security for the richer Indians.
Some areas exempted from the provisions of the Gold Law in Johannesburg, Krugersdorp, Klerksdorp and Roodepoort. It allows land to be transferred to Asiatics in the Malay location of Johannesburg and the Nigel Bazaar.
