Dr Nnoseng Ellen Kate Kuzwayo, ANC politician and noted writer of Call me Woman (winner of CNA Award 1985 and translated into six European languages) and other books, is born in Thaba-Nchu. She was principal actor in a documentary Tshiamelo – Place of Goodness that received first prize at Creteil Film Festival in Paris, France. She was awarded a DLitt by the University of Natal in 1996.
