Over three and half million people have been victims of forced removals over the past 40 years. Perhaps the most publicized case is that of the Bakwena ba Mogopa who were forcibly removed in 1984 from two farms they had own since." /> The Black South African community at Mogopa is displaced in a "forced removal" action. About 300 homes and a cluster of community buildings are bulldozed. In 1987 the Supreme Court ruled that the removal of the Mogopa people was illegal.
