Reverend William Blaxall is convicted
Date: 17 October, 1963
The Reverend Dr. Arthur William Blaxall, an Anglican clergyman, was convicted on charges of aiding the activities of the African National Congress (ANC) and the Pan-Africanist Congress (PAC). He pleaded guilty and did not appeal against the sentence. However, on instructions from Prime Minister B.J.Vorster he was released on parole the following day.
