Takudzwa Ngwenya was born in Harare, Zimbabwe on 22 July 1985. He played for the Mashonaland Club and for Vainona High School in his home country. He then moved to Texas, USA, where he played for Plano Rugby club before moving on to Dallas Athletic Rugby Club. Ngwenya is one of the best wingers in rugby. He has demonstrated a remarkable ability to outpace some of the best wingers in the sport. He displayed this ability at the 2007 International Rugby Board (IRB) World  Cup in France. By the time the world cup ended, he had become a household name. Ngwenya spent nine seasons in France, from 2007-2016, playing for Biarritz Olympique. After a short stint at the San Diego Breakers in the USA in 2018, Ngwenya headed back to France to play for CA Brive.
