The essay is based upon observation. I am not questioning religion or music. The observation is about the similarities between the effect religion and music has on people. I noticed that people get the same sense of belonging/emotional satisfaction from music as other people get from religion.

I am documenting the similarities between a preacher and a live performance of a band. I have noticed that different people with different beliefs act in a similar way when they get a sense of belonging/emotional satisfaction, whether it is through religion or music. They seem to gain the same type of energy towards life through the phenomenon. Another thing I noticed is quite strange in a way. Within a certain genre of music they tend to attack religion, and in religion they tend to attack/warn people against those certain genres. I find this strange because it seems to me that both phenomena's have the same type of influence on people, depending on their view on life. I can therefore say that this essay, so far, is the representation of the effect that these two phenomena's have on people in a similar way.
