Smiso Zwane, South African hip hop artist is born

Smiso Zwane, stage name Okmalumkoolkat was born in the Umlazi township of Durban on 27 July 1985. [i] Along ZamaniXolo stage name DoktaSpiZee, two forms the rap and electronic duo Dirty Paraffin. [ii] “Mswenkofontein” is his hit single, which features StiloMagolide and uSanele. [iii]He has released three mixtapes, namely “Holy Oxygen” in 2014; “100k MaCassette” in 2015; and “Holy Oxygen II” in 2017. Okmalumkoolkat released his debut album “Mlazi Milano” in 2016.He has also contributed to the tracks of numerous South African hip hop artists which include the likes of CassperNyovest on his “Gusheshe” track; [iv] as well as with Riky Rick on his “Amantombazane” track. Okmalumkoolkat is also a prolific designer, [v] who has designed layouts for major clothing brands such as Nike.
