The tomb of Tutankhamen

The tomb of Tutankhamen and the spread of Egypt’s knowledge will be sections on their own which will also be added at a later stage.

Of all the pharaohs of ancient Egypt, Tutankhamen is the most famous. This is due to the wealth of artefacts found in his tomb, which was "discovered" by British archaeologist Howard Carter, in 1922, some 3000 years after Tutankhamen's death. The quantity of objects shocked archaeologists who had until then not found a tomb still containing treasures.

Note to educators: The section will be updated at a later stage.
