UN decides against SWA incorporation

The United Nations General Assembly expressed unambiguously their conviction that the South African apartheid policy was a grave threat to peaceful relations between ethnic groups in South Africa and the world at large. In the General Assembly session it was decided by thirty-seven votes against nine not to incorporate South West Africa (now Namibia) into South Africa as a fifth province.
