Jabulani Patrick Dhlamini
Amawele (twins)

Monozygotic twins often grow up so close together that they tend to act as one and are sometimes treated as one. In these images their different poses, gestures expressions do reveal that they have different personalities. The aim of this body of work is to depict or shows the differences in the personalities of the twins.
Identical twins, sometimes called monozygotic twins are usually born when a mother’s single fertilized egg is split into two parts. After conception, and this lead to their DNA being almost indistinguishable. Even though they may have the same genetic makeup it was interesting to know that their fingerprints are not identical.
