Cassper Nyovest, the South African Hip Hop artist is born

Refiloe Maele Phoolo, stage name “Cassper Nyovest” was born in Mafikeng, North West Province on 16 December 1990.[1] Cassper Nyovest is one of the most prominent figures in SouthAfrican hip hop. Altogether, Cassper has released three studio albums namely “Tsholofelo” in 2014; “Refiloe” in 2015; “Thuto” in 2017.  “Gusheshe” was the first single released from Cassper’s debut album “Tsholofelo”.[2] Subsequently, the hit single “Doc Shebeleza” was released, which was essentially his breakthrough track.[3] He was awarded the “Most Gifted Male”, “Most Gifted Southern Artist”, and “Most Gifted Videos of the Year” at the 2014 Channel O Music Awards for “Doc Shebeleza”.
