How to save information from the net

Once you have located the information you require and need to use it again, you have the options of saving the page or bookmarking(is an easy way to find your way back to a website ) the page.-discussed further techniques later on in this document.

 

Saving the page

A webpage can be saved directly to your computer by clicking on 'File' > 'Save As...' and selecting where you would like to save the information, typically on your computer's C: drive ( hard drive) or A: drive (floppy drive).

1. At top of the webpage, locate the File Menu on the Menu toolbar

2. Click File and scroll down to Save As... click

 

3. A save webpage dialog box opens, here you have options save in different folders on your computer

4. You have an option to rename the file name and after you confirm the file location and name you click Save button as shown above. You Web page is successfully saved.

 

Bookmark

If you find a site that you would like to return to again at a later stage, add this site to your list of favourites (or bookmarks). Click on 'Favorites' in your menu bar, and then click on ‘Add to Favorites' and the page will be added to your list of favourite sites. click link to view other interesting bookmark tools on the Internet
