Anti-apartheid activist, Beyers Naude is born
Beyers Naudé
Date: 10 May, 1915
Christiaan Frederik Beyers Naudé was born in Roodepoort, Transvaal, on 10 May 1915. He was named after C.F. Beyers, a Boer general who was close to his father, Jozua Franchoise Naudé, a founding member of the Broederbond. He was one of eight children and was raised in the heart of Afrikanerdom.
