Date: 22 April, 1866

Former teacher and headmistress at the Wellington Huguenot Ladies Seminary, Martha Helena Cillié, was born in Wellington. Cillie's greatest achievement was her contribution to the education of girls and to teacher training over a period of more than 30 years.
