Members of SASO and BPC held under Terrorism Act
SASO Members
Date: 12 October, 1974
Fourteen people, including leading members of the South African Students Organisation (SASO) and the Black People's Convention (BPC) are arrested and held under the Terrorism Act, following a pro- FRELIMO rally in Durban on 25 September 1974. Their arrest was a signal for the coming unrest at the University of the North, Turfloop.
