Political activist and trade unionist JB Marks dies
JB Marks
Date: 1 August, 1972
John Beaver (JB) Marks, teacher, trade unionist and political activist who identified himself as an African though he was of Coloured descent, died in Moscow, USSR. Marks was a staunch member of the South African Communist Party (SACP) and the African National Congress (ANC).
