Samora Machel monument is unveiled

The Samora Machel memorial erected at Mbuzini in the Nkomazi municipality, Mpumalanga, was unveiled by Former President Nelson Mandela in a moving ceremony witnessed by thousands of South Africans, Mozambicans and members of the local and international communities. The memorial was constructed at the site of the plane crash that killed the Mozambican leader and twenty-four others, including ministers and officials of the Mozambique government.
