Professor Landau took part in the "One Hundred Years of the ANC - Debating Liberation Histories and Democracy Today" conference organised by South African History Online, University of the Witswatersrand, The History Workshop, University of Johannesburg and the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation in 2011. He presented the paper The ANC, MK, and - The Turn to Violence (1960-2).
