Bergtheil House, 16 Queen's Avenue, Westville
The main building dates to 1847 and formed the original nucleus of the Westville residential area. It was built by Jonas Bergtheil, industrialist and member of the Legislative Council from 1857 to 1866, as the centre for the administration of the nascent settlement of New Germany. It was declared a National Monument under old NMC legislation on 23 December 1983.
