KwaZulu-Natal Literary Trails (under Heritage Routes)
Kwa-Zulu Natal has a diverse literary heritage, from the legacy of prominent Indian writers and political figures in Grey Street in Durban, to the writers of the once turbulent Cato Manor. Other literary trails outside of Durban include the Alan Paton trail in Pietermartizburg, which takes visitors to different key places in Paton's life. For a look at colonial literary history, the Rider Haggard trail includes key areas in and around Durban, that detail Haggard's time in Natal in the late nineteenth century.
