Angela Thoko Didiza was born in Durban in 1965. Didiza became Minister of Agriculture and Land  Affairs in 1999 and in 2006 she became Minister of Public works under President Thabo Mbeki. When Mbeki was ousted from his position as President in 2008, she was one of the ten Ministers that resigned. Didiza is currently a Project Consultant for the Archie Mafeje Research Institute at the University of South Africa. She holds an honours degree in Politics. She is also married with five children.
