Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, stage name Nasty C was born in Durban[i] on 11 February 1997.[ii] He started rapping at the age of nine.[iii] Nasty C was previously signed to the Free World Music label,[iv] and is currently signed to the Mabala Noise record label. Nasty C released his first mixtape titled “One Kid a Thousand Coffins” in May 2013. At the 2015 South African Hip Hop Awards, Nasty C was awarded the “Best Freshman” awarded. He was nominated for the “Lyricist of the Year” award at the 2016 South African Hip Hop Awards. At the 16th Metro FM Music Awards, Nasty C won awards in four categories, namely “Best New Artist”, “Best Male Album”, “Best Hip Hop Album”, and “Song of the Year”.
