Riaad Moosa, the South African comedian is born

Riaad Moosa was born in Cape Town on 18 June 1977. He has won numerous awards as a comedian, presenter, writer and actor. Riaad is known as the “Comedy Doctor”,[i] for reason being that he is a qualified medical doctor who attained his degree from the University of Cape Town.[ii] Riaad received the “Comics Choice Award” at the first Annual South African Comic’s Choice Awards. Riaad also featured on the numerous television and film productions such as “Laugh Out Loud” and the feature film “Outrageous”.[iii] He is also a regular presenter on his very own segment of the “Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola” television series, called “The Second Opinion”. He is a writer and performer on SABC’s Pure Monate Show.
