Thozamile Botha breaks banning order

Port Elizabeth Black Civic Organisation (PEBCO) activist Thozamile Botha broke his banning order and escaped to Lesotho. PEBCO was an affiliate of the banned United Democratic Front. Thozamile Botha studied BA Law with the University of Lesotho, but after the 1982 South African Defence Force raid in the capital of Lesotho, Maseru, he was advised to flee to Zambia. He stayed in Zambia from 1983 until 1986 and continued serving in the National Executive of the exiled South African Congress of Trade Unions. Thozamile Botha has an MA in political science and public administration from Strathclyde University, UK.
