The track is named after champion cyclist and ex SACF (South African Cycling Federation) president, Cyril Geoghegan. It is situated in Durban, Kwa Zulu Natal, behind the Kings Park rugby Stadium. A lap on this outdoor track covers 333 m. The track has monster bends that are connected by short straights. Floodlights allow for evening racing to take place. Spectators can only view the action from the main Pavilion since the track is elevated from the ground! The Track has change rooms with showers, a workshop and a press box.
