The Greek Government expelled the two-man South Africa team of Dale Hayes and Hugh Baiocchi from the World Cup international men's team golf championship starting in Athens on 8 November. The action by the Greek Foreign Minister followed a request from the United Nations Special Committee against Apartheid to condemn all practices of racial segregation in sports.
